Overview
New IntelliVu™PLUS Automatic Day–Night 24 hr Surveillance
The IntelliVuTMPLUS™ is a new CCTV intensifier adapter designed to provide night vision capability to standard video cameras and lenses.
During daytime, the intensifier turns off and moves out of the optical path, allowing normal camera operation. It also extends the operational life of the image intensifier for years.
The IntelliVu™ is optimized to work with near-infrared radiation which is prevalent in the night sky but is invisible to the human eye.
The IntelliVu™ utilizes an Image Intensifier Tube FOM up to 1600 to generate high quality nighttime video.
The IntelliVuPLUS™ Module can be attached to any low-lux CCD camera.
Either 1/2-inch format or 1/3-inch CCD cameras will offer excellent results.
Flexibility
The new design features an innovative switching device mounted within the IntelliVu™ so that a single system, utilizing only one color camera and one lens, functions for both day and night and provides a sharp image in:
full color (daytime)
green color (nighttime)
Automatic Day-Night
An external light sensor (included with the IntelliVu™) provides input for automatic day-to-night switching, allowing continuous unattended surveillance.
Night Time Capability
The Gen III Image Intensifier features world class US military technology and with the proper lens and camera is capable of providing usable video in overcast or moonless nights.
Camera Selection
Camera selection has also a direct effect on system performance. A high resolution low-light camera will greatly enhance system performance in very dark environments.
Automatic Gain Control
The new IntelliVu PLUS™ allows the AGC circuitry functions of the CCTV camera to directly compensate for varying light intensities.
Lens Selection
Lens F-number has a direct effect on system low-light performance. For best performance in extremely low-light conditions, select a lens with the largest possible aperture:
f/1.2 ; f/1.5 or f/1.8
